Sculpture Artist Statement

Working in welded steel is my passion right now. I find the breadth of possibilities continue to intrigue me. I started welding about 6 years ago and visions of sculptures in steel continue to fill my imagination. I love its strength, resistance and it's softness under fire. I am tempted, and challenged as it draws me in. I'm a colorist at heart and am finding ways for bring out the color in the metal as well as apply color in the metal as well as apply color to its surface. It's a great adventure!
